Where it all began

In the winter of 2016, my parents, Ron & Lisa - owners of Sativa - had a tenant move out of their other retail space, leaving it vacant. I had realized about 4 years ago that retail is my passion, so when the vacant space came about, an idea popped into my head. Why not merge my passion for retail, with my love for the beach and create the ultimate "beach boutique"? After many sleepless nights with my mind racing with ideas, I finally approached my parents with the idea. Fast foward through a couple of weeks and many long disccusions, we decided to partner with eachother and make this vision come to life. Solis was born.

Solis, the meaning of "sun" in Latin. Sunshine - something we all wake up every morning looking for. We love watching it rise in the morning, and chase the sunsets every night. There are sun worshipers all over, getting to the beach as early as possible and staying until much after sunset. The sun is something that humans are drawn to, each and every day.

Growing up on Cape Cod, we all seem to spend our winter day dreaming of summer & beach days. It is when our skin gets darker, our hair gets lighter, and the days get longer.
